Race Day


Mascots from Edmonton and area will gather to cheer on the 5km and 10km participants and then rally back to the start like to compete in their own 400m race.

With noise makers, friends and family, cheer on your favorite mascot!

There is limited parking on-site at 1011 Clover Bar Road, Sherwood Park Alliance Church. This onsite parking closes at 9:40 a.m. on race day.

Free overflow parking will be available at Strathcona Christian Elementary, and Elk Island Public Schools*

*Please note: these parking lots are a safe leisurely 5-10min walk to the race site!

Consider parking at 9:30 a.m.

Allow time to walk over to the grounds, explore, check your bag, and be prepared to race!

Yes! Each registrant upon crossing the finish line will receive a finishers water bottle!

Yes! Please remember to bring a warm layer to watch the Mascots Race at 11:45 a.m., and cash to purchase snacks or lunch from a food truck once you have finished racing!

Just past the finish line race participants you will find a couple light snacks and refreshments.

Food trucks will be on the grounds for anyone to purchase snacks or lunch, so you can stay and enjoy the first ever Mascots Race with friends and family!

There will also be free family activities in addition to the mascots roaming around the grounds for photos.

Registration


This year there is no paper registration for this race. You must register on-line before midnight on May 1, 2018.

Click here to register with the running room for either the 5km or 10km events.

This year, you must register before May 1, 2018 if you would like to run.

You must register by April 1, 2018 to receive a t-shirt.

Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult.

Children under the age of 5 years are free, but still need to be registered on the running room.

Yes! Our cap this year is at 1000 total registrants!

Race Course


The 5km walk or run is one loop of the 5km course.

The 10km run is two loops of the 5km course.

You may bring strollers for the race. We kindly ask that you position yourself towards the back of the group.

However, dogs, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, and bikes are not permitted on this race course.

We would prefer that you only wear one earbud for your safety and those around you. Iit is important you can hear our course marshals, volunteers and other participants.

Please be aware at all times.

Yes. There will be 2 water station on the race course for the 5km walk/run.
There will be 4 water stations on the race course for the 10km run.

There will be water and light snack at the finish line for all finishers.

Yes. This is how we can identify that you are registered in an event, in addition it identifies who you are in case of an emergency.

No. There will not be chipped timing for this years events.

Please seed yourselves according to your own pace at the start line. Faster runners towards the front.
